Prime Minister Edi Rama said artificial intelligence will help make government services more transparent and responsive, allowing citizens to track their requests in real time.
Speaking after the government’s expanded meeting in Pogradec, Rama said a new digital system will allow citizens to submit requests, follow their progress and see which institution is responsible for each case.
The government also presented its priorities across several sectors. These include public security, defence, justice, business support, transport, agriculture, tourism, healthcare, education, environmental protection and EU integration.
Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari highlighted the Smart City project, while Defence Minister Ermal Nufi said military industry projects are expected to create up to 1,000 jobs by 2027.
The government also reported a 6.48% increase in tourism compared with last year. Officials said public beach areas have expanded by more than 300,000 square metres.
On EU integration, Chief Negotiator Majlinda Dhuka said Albania could have a draft EU accession treaty in 2028 if the current process continues as planned.
Rama said the new digital approach aims to strengthen accountability and give citizens a clearer view of how the state responds to their needs.
