The Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita, addressed 389 cadets today who successfully completed the Professional Police Training College at the Security Academy, urging them to always be guided in their new duties by the law, service to citizens, and the legacy of fallen State Police officers.

During the certification ceremony, Hita called on the new officers not to fall prey to arrogance, corruption, or the temptation to cooperate with criminal groups.

“Your compass in this mission should point in only three directions: towards the law, towards serving citizens, and towards honoring the legacy of the fallen officers of the State Police, who are also Martyrs of the Nation. Never change these three directions in the face of any challenge or temptation, because if you lose your compass, you lose the citizens, you lose your dignity, and the road ahead becomes filled with shadows, perhaps even darkness,” Hita told the new officers.

He stressed that both the State Police and citizens need the energy and new mindset of the younger generation of officers, while emphasizing the importance of maintaining public trust.

“Serve citizens with humility, and deal with those who break the law with the full force of the law. Respond with courage, integrity and impartiality, and always within the legal framework, when faced with any injustice or unlawful act,” Hita said.

The Director General of the State Police also warned the new officers not to be tempted by offers to cooperate with criminal groups.
