TIRANA, August 27 – Brazilian magazine Estado de Minas has highlighted Lake Neuron, an underground thermal lake located in the Vjosa Valley in southern Albania.
According to the magazine, the lake lies beneath the mountains and contains about 8.3 million litres of water. Its unusual underground setting makes it a rare natural phenomenon.
Lake Neuron lies near Përmet and the Bënja thermal springs, one of Albania’s best-known areas for natural landscapes and thermal waters.
The international coverage has drawn renewed attention to the natural attractions of southern Albania and their tourism potential.
