Haxhiu: Today’s Agreement on the President Is a Step Toward Making Institutions Fully Functional

Kosovo’s Acting President, Albulena Haxhiu, has welcomed the agreement reached between the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) on the presidential candidate.

In a Facebook post, she wrote that today’s agreement represents an important step toward overcoming the deadlock and ensuring the full functioning of the country’s institutions.

“I welcome the agreement reached today between the VETËVENDOSJE! Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo on the candidate for President of the Republic. Today’s agreement is a very important step toward overcoming the deadlock and ensuring that the institutions become fully functional. It is now important for this process to be concluded in Parliament, with the responsibility required by the moment and by the interests of the Republic,” she wrote.

Bekim Sejdiu is the candidate whom LVV and LDK have agreed to support for the post of president.
