Prime Minister Edi Rama welcomed Albanian heavyweight boxer Nelson Hysa to his office today. Rama met Hysa after the boxer successfully defended his WBO title against Norwegian fighter Thomas Narmo.
During the meeting, Rama asked Hysa about the fight and his career in the ring.
Hysa spoke about the challenge, which came after an 11-month break from competition. He also highlighted the high level of his opponent, who entered the bout as the favorite to win the title.
Rama congratulated Hysa on his victory and successful title defense. He also praised the boxer’s achievements on the international stage. Meanwhile, Hysa said he currently remains the only Albanian boxer ranked across the four major international boxing organizations.
The meeting highlighted Hysa’s growing profile in international boxing and his latest achievement as an Albanian heavyweight champion.
