Hoxha meets US Undersecretary Hooker: Albania and US advance shared interests

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha met with US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker on the sidelines of the Bled Strategic Forum.

Hoxha said the meeting reaffirmed the strategic partnership between Albania and the United States. The two officials discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

They also focused on defense and security cooperation, including collaboration within NATO. Hoxha highlighted the importance of the recent NATO Summit in Ankara and preparations for the Alliance’s upcoming summit in Albania.

The officials also discussed the regional security environment and recent developments in the Western Balkans. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening regional stability and security.

Hoxha said Albania and the United States share strong democratic values and a long-standing transatlantic partnership.

He added that both countries will continue their close dialogue and cooperation, with a focus on achieving concrete results and advancing their shared interests.
