Travel Off Path: Ksamil named Europe’s best coastal destination

TIRANA, September 4 – Ksamil has been named Europe’s best coastal destination by US travel media outlet “Travel Off Path”. Journalist Trevor Kucheran ranked it first among five European coastal destinations recommended by travel experts.

The article highlights Ksamil’s exceptionally clear waters and white-pebble beaches. It also points to the more affordable prices along the Albanian Riviera compared with other popular Mediterranean destinations. “Travel Off Path” describes the area as a quieter alternative as tourist crowds increase elsewhere in the region.

The publication says visitors can enjoy fresh seafood by the beach for less than USD 15. Seaside hotels also cost less than comparable accommodation in Greece. However, Kucheran notes that peak summer brings large crowds and higher local prices. Travellers taking the fast ferry from Corfu to Saranda should also expect possible border-control delays.

Meanwhile, the article recommends September and October for a quieter experience in Ksamil. The ranking also includes Maronti Beach in Ischia, Italy, Adragas Beach in Portugal, Ramla Bay in Gozo, Malta, and Sarakiniko Beach in Milos, Greece.
