No Friday restrictions on trucks over 20 tonnes

TIRANA, September 4 – Authorities will impose no traffic restrictions on trucks weighing more than 20 tonnes on Friday, according to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.

The ministry said the latest official temperature forecast does not meet the conditions for temporary restrictions on heavy goods vehicles. Authorities introduce these measures during periods of high temperatures.

Meanwhile, authorities will monitor weather forecasts every day. The ministry will notify citizens and economic operators if conditions require restrictions again.

During the summer, authorities restricted trucks over 20 tonnes at certain times when temperatures exceeded 32 C. The restrictions applied on highways.
