TIRANA, September 4 – Work on the Elbasan–Rrogozhina road, part of Trans-European Corridor VIII, has reached 87% across the first six phases of the project. Asphalt work is currently underway along around 15 kilometres of the route.
The Albanian Road Authority said crews are laying asphalt across the segment. In the Elbasan–Paper section, which forms Phase 3, work is focused on asphalt layers on two major bridges.
Meanwhile, structural works on two other bridges are nearing completion. The authority said work continues at a high pace across the first six phases.
The Elbasan–Rrogozhina road forms part of the wider Corridor VIII connection. The project is intended to improve the road link between Elbasan and Rrogozhina.
