Wildfire leaves homes and land scorched in Levan, Fier

TIRANA, September 7 – A powerful wildfire that swept through the Levan area of Fier in recent days has left homes scorched, olive groves burned and large areas of land blackened.

Footage obtained by RTSH shows the extent of the damage across the affected territory. Large areas have been reduced to blackened ground, while olive and fruit trees have been destroyed by the flames. Several homes and properties also show direct signs of fire damage.

Two homes were burned in the fire. Significant areas of olive groves and fruit trees were also affected. A beekeeping business was completely destroyed, causing major damage to its beehives.

The fire started in the Fermë Çlirim area and spread rapidly towards Radostina and surrounding villages, fuelled by strong winds. The footage recorded after the fire was extinguished shows the scale of the damage, with large areas of scorched land and burned vegetation.
