Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha held a meeting with U.S. Special Envoy for Global Partnerships Paolo Zampolli, focusing on strengthening relations between Albania and the United States and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
In a post on the social media platform X, Hoxha said that during the meeting, the “special bond” between Albania and the United States was reaffirmed, along with their shared commitment to further deepening and expanding the strategic partnership.
According to the minister, building new partnerships and creating new opportunities for cooperation contributes to strengthening ties between the two countries, increasing prosperity and delivering more tangible benefits to citizens.
Hoxha stressed that Albania aims to expand cooperation with the United States in areas of mutual interest, particularly in trade, economic engagement and increased U.S. investment in Albania.
“For us, the transatlantic bond remains the cornerstone of our security and an anchor of democratic resilience,” Hoxha said.
He added that strengthening cooperation and building new partnerships will help both countries better address shared challenges, contributing to a safer, stronger and more prosperous future for Albania and the United States.
