An exhibition dedicated to one of Albania’s leading 20th-century artists, Ibrahim Kodra, will open in Tirana on September 23.
“Ibrahim Kodra – The Sea and Music” will be held at the Bank of Albania and will remain open until November 23.
The exhibition features 41 works created between 1947 and 1999. It explores Kodra’s artistic world through themes of the sea, music, figures and mythology.
Curated by Anila Mema, the exhibition brings together works from the Ibrahim Kodra House-Museum in Milan and private collections. It also includes photographs, documents, publications, awards, clothing and musical instruments.
The exhibition highlights Kodra’s contribution to modern European art and his distinctive role in post-Cubism. It offers a broader look at the artist’s life and work, linking his Albanian identity with the European art scene.
