The US and Albanian Armed Forces held a joint training exercise at Farka Air Base and the Land Forces Command. The exercise focused on medical evacuation missions.
According to the US Embassy in Tirana, the teams prepared UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters for MedEvac missions. They equipped the cabins with the necessary medical equipment. They also tested patient-monitoring systems to ensure medical care during flights.
US Major General Lisa Hou, Director of the Medical Services Office at the National Guard Bureau, attended the exercise. She followed the training and praised the professionalism and skills of Albanian Air Force personnel.
Meanwhile, the joint exercise strengthened cooperation between the two armed forces. It also improved their readiness to respond to real-world search and rescue operations.
“This continued cooperation further strengthens the partnership between US and Albanian forces in support of real-world search and rescue operations,” the US Embassy said.
