Korça Marathon 2026 to combine sport and city attractions

Korça is preparing to host another major sporting event as the city holds the title of European City of Sport 2026.

The Korça Marathon will take place on September 20. Participants will compete in 3 km, 5 km and 21 km races, with free entry.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a video on social media showing preparations for the marathon. He said Korça will run to the rhythm of Korça Marathon 2026 on Sunday, combining the energy of competition with the beauty of the city.

The event will bring runners together through their passion for running and the attractions of Korça. The organizers expect the city’s streets to become the setting for a day of sporting competition and public activity.
