Egnatia closed Week 5 of the Abissnet Superiore with a 2-1 win over Partizani at Egnatia Arena on Sunday evening. Loukili and Albanese scored for the Rrogozhina side. Earlier on Sunday, Tirana drew 2-2 with AF Elbasani at home. Vora and Skënderbeu also drew 1-1 on Saturday. Dinamo City recorded its fourth straight league win by beating Laçi 3-1 at Elbasan Arena. Teuta continued its positive run with a 2-0 victory over Vllaznia at Loro Boriçi Stadium. The Durrës side has now gone four consecutive weeks without a defeat.
Meanwhile, Week 6 will follow a long break for international matches. UEFA has scheduled the international window across three weeks instead of the usual two. The league will therefore return after three weeks, with the Partizani-Tirana derby among the matches attracting attention.
The Albanian Football Federation has not yet set the dates and kick-off times. The Week 6 matches are expected to take place during the weekend of October 10-11.
