The Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) launched today its “Aftercare” meetings campaign in Tirana. The initiative follows up on foreign investors and improves their experience in Albania.
First, AIDA set the goal of the campaign. It aims to monitor existing foreign investments. It also aims to identify investor needs and solve operational problems.
Then, the first meeting took place with the Italian company “Maccaferri.” The meeting included AIDA Executive Director Laura Saro and Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation Enkelejd Musabelliu.
During the meeting, company representatives presented their activities in Albania. They focus on steel mesh production. They also work on erosion control and civil engineering solutions.
Next, both sides discussed the company’s investment performance. They also addressed key challenges affecting business operations.
In particular, they highlighted exchange rate fluctuations. They also pointed to the lack of financial instruments for managing risk.
Furthermore, participants exchanged ideas for solutions. They discussed ways to improve the business climate for foreign investors.
Finally, AIDA confirmed that it will continue similar meetings. The agency aims to strengthen investor support and improve long-term investment conditions in Albania.
