Albania will add 17 military personnel and one helicopter to its existing contribution to the international KFOR mission in Kosova. The government decision, published in the Official Gazette, sets the new deployment until December 31, 2029.

The personnel and helicopter will operate from Camp Bondsteel in Ferizaj. The contingent will provide air support for KFOR units during terrain reconnaissance, intelligence activities and patrols. Meanwhile, the helicopter will support medical evacuation, search and rescue, VIP and troop transport, and civil emergencies under KFOR plans and agreements with Kosova.

The military personnel will rotate every three months, while the helicopter will rotate every six months. Each rotation will also include handover days.
