Albania and Ukraine sign road transport agreement

TIRANA, June 17 – Infrastructure and Energy Minister Enea Karakaçi announced the signing of a bilateral agreement between Albania and Ukraine on the international road transport of passengers and goods.

Karakaçi signed the agreement with Serhiy Derkach, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.

According to the minister, the agreement will facilitate and accelerate the transport and transit of goods and passengers between the two countries.

In a statement, Karakaçi said the document will support faster transport operations and improve transit procedures. He added that alignment with recent developments under the European Union-Ukraine road transport agreement will further strengthen logistics and international trade links.

Meanwhile, the agreement aims to enhance connectivity between Albania and Ukraine. Authorities also expect the measure to support trade and transport cooperation between the two countries.
