Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha strongly condemned Iran’s recent attacks on Gulf Arab states, calling them a violation of international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.
In a statement on X, Hoxha said the attacks further escalate tensions, undermine regional stability and pose a serious threat to international peace and security.
Furthermore, he argued that Iran’s continued confrontational approach and its lack of constructive engagement with the United States on unresolved issues, including its nuclear program, demonstrate an unwillingness to pursue dialogue and de-escalation.
“These developments are deeply concerning, but unfortunately not surprising,” Hoxha said.
Meanwhile, he noted that Albania has faced repeated cyberattacks, influence operations and other hybrid activities that the government attributes to Iran and says have targeted the country’s institutions and national security.
Finally, Hoxha expressed Albania’s solidarity with all affected countries and reaffirmed the country’s support for sovereignty, territorial integrity, international law and the peaceful resolution of disputes.
