Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a photo album highlighting the week’s key events.
First, he attended the Coalition of the Willing Summit on Ukraine in Paris at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. He also joined France’s National Day ceremony and reaffirmed Albania’s strong partnership with its Euro-Atlantic allies.
Meanwhile, Albania provisionally closed three more EU accession chapters in Brussels: Science and Research, Education and Culture, and External Relations. Rama described the achievement as another important step toward EU membership.
At home, the government launched the Smart City project in 20 schools in Tirana. The project uses artificial intelligence and smart monitoring to improve safety in schools and public spaces.
In addition, the government introduced the “Double Your Business” programme to support small and medium-sized enterprises. Public institutions, the Bank of Albania, commercial banks, international partners and business representatives discussed new financing opportunities and stronger public-private cooperation.
Rama said the programme reflects close cooperation between the government, the Bank of Albania, commercial banks and international partners. He added that it will create a sustainable financing mechanism for businesses.
