Albania honors US military officer for strengthening defense cooperation

Defense Minister Ermal Nufi awarded the “Golden Medal of Military Service” to US Army Lieutenant Colonel Joshua A. Magnusson after he completed his mandate as head of the US Military Group in Albania.

The medal recognized Magnusson’s contribution to strengthening the partnership between the United States and the Albanian Armed Forces, as well as his role in supporting joint military cooperation programs.

During the ceremony, Minister Nufi highlighted the strategic importance of the Albania-US partnership, calling it a cornerstone of Albania’s national security.

Moreover, Nufi praised the efforts of those who work to deepen defense ties between the two countries and strengthen cooperation between their armed forces.

As part of the ceremony, Nufi also awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to US Sergeant Emmanuel Ebhoomhan, who serves as operations coordinator at the US Defense Attaché Office in Albania.

The recognition honored the dedication and commitment of US military representatives in advancing security cooperation between Albania and the United States.
