TIRANA, July 23 – Albania has joined the International Coalition on Cyber Security Workforces (ICCSW), becoming the first country from the region to enter the international initiative focused on developing cybersecurity professionals.
The National Authority for Cyber Security said the coalition brings together governments and organizations that work to build and maintain a skilled and sustainable cybersecurity workforce.
The initiative focuses on creating common terminology for professional skills, sharing best practices, setting minimum quality standards for specialists and improving cooperation between national cybersecurity frameworks.
Meanwhile, the authority said Albania’s membership supports the government’s goal of positioning the country as a regional centre for cybersecurity knowledge and expertise.
Through this cooperation, Albania will contribute to the development of common international approaches and standards. The country will also exchange expertise with other members and strengthen the preparation of Albanian professionals in the cybersecurity field.
