TIRANA, August 28 – Klevis Qose, head of Albania’s Police Oversight Agency, met Karma M. Smith, the FBI adviser on organised crime at Albania’s Special Prosecution Office. Smith has recently taken up her post in Albania.
The meeting focused on continuing existing work and coordinating the next steps. Qose said the two sides aim to further strengthen cooperation between their institutions.
Qose also expressed his appreciation to Jamar Williams for his work and support during his cooperation with the Police Oversight Agency. Richard Deasy, the US Embassy’s Attaché for Law Enforcement Assistance, also attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, Qose said cooperation with US partners will remain important for strengthening the agency’s capabilities. He added that the partnership will help the Police Oversight Agency carry out its mission professionally.
