Albania presents its civil service recruitment model at OECD/SIGMA workshop

Albania presented its experience in civil service recruitment and selection systems during a regional workshop organised by OECD/SIGMA in Paris.

Representatives from the Department of Public Administration (DAP), alongside officials from Western Balkan and Eastern Partnership countries, participated in the workshop titled “Strengthening recruitment and selection systems in the civil service in EU enlargement and Eastern Partnership countries.”

DAP representatives Keida Meta and Marcela Kërëku shared Albania’s approach to workforce planning, building a more effective recruitment system and improving selection quality through professionalism, integrity and expertise in evaluation processes.

They also presented Albania’s progress in digitalising recruitment procedures, using technology and artificial intelligence, and developing monitoring mechanisms to support continuous improvement.

According to DAP, the workshop provided an opportunity to showcase Albania’s achievements, exchange best practices with partner administrations and further strengthen a professional, transparent and merit-based civil service in line with OECD standards and the country’s European integration process.
