Albania Reaffirms Commitment to EU Reforms in Talks with French Parliamentary Delegation

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha received a delegation from the European Affairs Committee of the French National Assembly, led by Pierre-Alexandre Anglade, in Tirana.

The two sides discussed current developments in the EU enlargement process and stressed the importance of maintaining momentum and credibility in the accession path.

Minister Hoxha reaffirmed Albania’s strong commitment to reforms and its determination to move decisively toward a European future. He emphasized that with a clear plan, concrete results, and the ambition to join the EU within this decade, Albania aims to take advantage of what he described as a historic window of opportunity.

He also highlighted the importance of continued support from France at all levels, including parliamentary cooperation, in ensuring the success of the enlargement process and strengthening the European perspective for both Albania and the Western Balkans.

The meeting also underlined France’s key role in building a stronger, more united, and more strategic Europe.
