Albanian academic Nazim S. Gruda represents the country at the congress. He is a member of the Academy of Sciences of Albania and serves on the IHC2026 Scientific Committee.

Moreover, Gruda is also a member of the Scientific Committee of Symposium S14. The symposium focuses on assessing the impact and reach of innovations for sustainable horticulture.

During the congress, Gruda will deliver a keynote lecture and chair a scientific session. He will present his expertise in innovative and sustainable horticultural production systems.

In addition, the congress is expected to confirm Gruda as chair of the Greenhouse and Indoor Production Horticulture Section of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS). He is expected to serve a four-year term.

According to the Academy of Sciences, Gruda’s role in the scientific and leadership structures of the ISHS reflects his contribution to international horticultural science. It also highlights Albania’s growing presence in the global scientific community.

The ISHS organizes IHC2026. The international organization brings together horticultural scientists and promotes research, international cooperation and knowledge sharing in the sector.
