Albania has joined the international community committed to peaceful, transparent and responsible space exploration after Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha signed the Artemis Accords.
The ceremony took place at NASA headquarters in Washington. NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson and US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Space and Environment Connor Tomlinson attended the ceremony.
Hoxha described the signing as another day of pride for Albania and an important step towards the future. He said the agreement reflects Albania’s confidence in science, innovation and international cooperation. The minister also said it creates new opportunities for younger generations through closer links with technologies, knowledge and partnerships shaping the future.
Meanwhile, Hoxha said the development adds an important new dimension to the strategic partnership between Albania and the United States. He said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to innovation, progress and cooperation in new frontiers.
The Artemis Accords aim to promote peaceful, transparent and sustainable space exploration. They also support international cooperation for the benefit of all humanity. Hoxha said Albania is ready to contribute and achieve more.
