Albanian Football Federation sets dates for 2026-2027 domestic season

TIRANA, June 25 – The Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Federation has approved the starting dates for all national competitions in the 2026-2027 football season.

The “Abissnet Superiore” championship will begin on August 22, 2026 and end on May 9, 2027. Meanwhile, the “First Category” championship will start on September 5, 2026 and conclude on May 2, 2027.

The Albanian Super Cup final will take place on December 27, 2026. In addition, the Albanian Cup will begin on September 16, 2026 and end with the final on May 12, 2027.

The women’s championship will start on September 19, 2026 and finish on May 2, 2027. The “Second Category” will run from September 12, 2026 to April 25, 2027, while the “Third Category” will begin on October 11, 2026 and end on April 18, 2027.

The federation also confirmed the calendar for youth competitions. The “Abissnet Superiore” U-19, U-18 and U-17 championships will run from September 6, 2026 to May 9, 2027. Meanwhile, the U-16 and U-15 competitions in the same category will begin on September 12, 2026 and end on May 2, 2027.

The “First Category” U-19 and U-17 championships will start on September 13, 2026 and finish on May 2, 2027. In addition, the U-16, U-15 and U-14 competitions in the same category will run from October 4, 2026 to May 1, 2027.

Finally, the “Elite Superiore Category” U-14 and U-13 championship will begin on September 12, 2026 and conclude on May 15, 2027.
