Albanian Opera Choir to Perform in Albanian at International Festival in Italy

The choir of the National Theatre of Opera, Ballet and Folk Ensemble of Albania will perform in Albanian in Savigliano, in the Piedmont region of Italy.

The performance will take place during the 36th International Choral Singing Festival “Sergio Chiarlo,” scheduled for 5–7 June 2026. The choir represents Albania at this prestigious international event, which brings together choirs from around the world.

Previously, the Albanian Ballet achieved success with the performance of “Carmen” in Bologna on 23–24 May. That production featured Anbeta Toromani, Adela Muçollari, Alessandro Macario, Dion Gjinika, and Luca Curreli.

Now, the focus shifts to the opera house choir, which will represent Albania on the international stage. In addition, the choir will perform a fully Albanian repertoire in Italy.

It will present Albanian sound, tradition, and musical identity to an international audience.

Finally, the festival will conclude with a joint performance of selected pieces from the opera “Nabucco,” where all participating choirs will unite their voices for a special musical finale.
