Albania’s Archives Expand International Cooperation with Palestine

Albania’s General Directorate of Archives is expanding its international partnerships through new contacts with archival institutions abroad.

Director General Auron Rrokaj hosted the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Albania, Rana Abu Sibae, to discuss potential cooperation between Albania’s General Directorate of Archives and the Palestinian Archives Institute.

The meeting focused on areas of mutual interest, including archival cooperation, joint cultural activities, and professional capacity-building for archive staff.

Meanwhile, the Albanian Archives continue to strengthen ties with international partners. Earlier, Rrokaj held meetings with U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission in Albania Kathryn Hammond and Chinese Ambassador to Albania Pang Chunxue.

In addition, the institution has signed cooperation agreements with its counterparts in Italy, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Ukraine. At the regional level, it has formalized partnerships with the Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the State Archives of Montenegro.

These efforts reflect Albania’s commitment to expanding international cooperation, promoting cultural exchange, and strengthening professional expertise in the field of archives.
