TIRANA, August 5 – Albania’s Defence Minister Ermal Nufi met with Italy’s Defence Minister Guido Crosetto in Rome to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in defence and security.
The two ministers discussed deeper cooperation between Albania and Italy, focusing on increasing the interoperability of the Armed Forces and exploring new opportunities in the defence industry.
Nufi described Italy as a strategic partner for Albania and a valued ally within the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). He highlighted the importance of close cooperation between the two countries in addressing shared security challenges.
The meeting reaffirmed the common vision of Albania and Italy for a safer Western Balkans and a stronger Europe.
The two ministers also confirmed their commitment to preserving regional stability, supporting international missions for peace and security, and strengthening NATO’s role in responding to new security challenges.
