Ali Ahmeti calls for a borderless and peaceful Balkans at Diaspora Summit

Ali Ahmeti spoke at the fourth Albanian Diaspora Summit in Tirana. He highlighted the role of the Albanian diaspora in national development. He said the diaspora has preserved language, culture, and identity.

Ahmeti stated that Albanians abroad contributed to Kosovo’s freedom and state-building. He added that the Albanian language and identity were defended with sacrifice.

He said the diaspora can support professional and cultural development in Albania and Kosovo. He encouraged experts abroad to share knowledge and European standards. He also said professionals should transfer experience between countries where Albanians live.

Ahmeti called the diaspora a long-term supporter of Albanian culture and tradition. He said it can also help train specialists in different fields.

He stressed the importance of peace, stability, and European integration in the Balkans. He called for a region without borders and full integration into the European Union. He said the Balkans should follow the European model of open borders.

Ahmeti said Albania, Kosovo, and neighboring countries should work for lasting peace. He also called for Kosovo’s inclusion in NATO.

He described the summit as a platform for uniting Albanians worldwide. He thanked Albanian authorities for bringing together Albanians from all over the world.
