Around 300 students join Prishtina Summer University

TIRANA, July 7 – Around 300 students from different countries have joined the 25th edition of the International Summer University of Prishtina.

The University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” opened the programme near the Rectorate. Institutional representatives, international guests, professors, and students attended the opening event.

This year’s edition includes cultural evenings, student activities, and opportunities for international cooperation. Rector Arben Hajrullahu described it as the largest international event among Albanian-speaking universities in the region.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Education Përparim Kryeziu said summer universities offer students opportunities for academic and professional development. He added that these programmes allow participants to exchange ideas and gain new perspectives beyond traditional classrooms.

The European Union supports this year’s edition. EU Political Sector Head in Kosova, Boguslaw Gertruda, said the programme marks the start of cooperation between the EU Office in Kosova and the University of Prishtina in the academic field.

Gertruda highlighted the importance of youth and human capital for Kosova’s future. He said the summer university brings together students and professors from different countries, cultures, languages, and backgrounds to promote learning and knowledge exchange.

The International Summer University of Prishtina continues to attract partner universities and international professors every year.
