More than 110 new and modernization projects worth over €15 billion will feature at Balkan Summit 2026. The event will take place in Pristina on October 19–20.
The projects cover Kosovo, Albania and North Macedonia. Organizers aim to unite the three markets and attract international investors, financiers and development institutions, KosovaPress reports.
Summit organizer Driton Dalipi said the event would connect public institutions, contractors and financial institutions to advance concrete projects. “We are not asking investors to discover three small markets. We are offering them a single regional market with three entry points,” he said.
The agenda covers transport, energy, water, digital infrastructure, AI data centers, tourism and agriculture. Dalipi said coordinated investment across these sectors could create stronger regional opportunities. He noted that institutions such as the World Bank Group, the US DFC, Germany’s KfW and France’s AFD could offer expertise. However, their participation does not guarantee project funding.
Dalipi said projects must prove their economic viability, legal clarity and readiness for investment. Drawing on more than two decades of experience with the EU, World Bank and USAID, he said the summit aims to turn plans into action.
Organizers plan to hold the next editions in Tirana in 2027 and Skopje in 2028. Montenegro could join a future edition. Dalipi said success would depend on tangible results, including new partnerships, projects advancing towards evaluation and investments reaching implementation.
