Socialist Party political leader for Tirana County Taulant Balla congratulated students, teachers and parents on the start of the new school year during a visit to a school in Kavajë.
At the “Charles Telford Erickson” vocational high school in Golem, Kavajë, Balla described Albania’s PISA 2025 results as good news and an important motivation for the country’s education system.
He stressed that Albania ranks among the top Balkan countries in mathematics, science and reading. The country also recorded a significant improvement in its results.
Meanwhile, Balla said the results reflect the work of teachers and the support of parents. He added that they should encourage Albania to continue working toward higher European education standards.
“This is an important motivation and brings us closer every day to the best European standards,” Balla said.
During his visit, Balla also praised the conditions at the school and the work of its teaching staff. He highlighted the expansion of its vocational programs.
The school has increased its student numbers year after year. As a result, it has become an important regional education institution. Balla said the school now offers vocational training and knowledge that respond to the needs of both the city and the country.
