Balla: Irrigation, Legalization and Pensions Remain Government Priorities

Taulant Balla meets residents of Bago in Kavaja and discusses key issues affecting daily life. He focuses on agriculture, legalization, and pensions.

He says the government restores attention to irrigation systems under Prime Minister Edi Rama. He explains that investments bring around 300,000 hectares of agricultural land back under irrigation across the country.

He also addresses irrigation problems in the Bago area. He assures residents that the government continues investments to restore stable water supply for local farmers.

In addition, he highlights progress in the property legalization process. He notes that authorities issue more than 300,000 legalization permits nationwide.

He states that the government finds only 22,000 permits in 2013 when it takes office. He adds that around 70,000 properties still remain eligible for legalization.

He also explains that the law guarantees compensation for families whose properties cannot be legalized due to location, especially when public projects affect them.

Furthermore, he speaks about pensions and social support. He says the government continues to fund the pension system with significant budget resources.

He also emphasizes that additional revenue from tourism goes directly to pensions. He reinforces the government’s commitment to improving pensioners’ living standards.
