Beach agency monitors public beach access in Lezha

TIRANA, June 12 – The National Coastline Agency continues field inspections along the Lezha coastline. Authorities are focusing on protecting public beach areas and ensuring free access for visitors.

Officials are carrying out the inspections under the beach station map. Municipal authorities proposed the map, while the Tourism Season Management Committee approved it.

Meanwhile, Tourism, Culture and Sports Minister Blendi Gonxhja said a continuous presence on the ground aims to prevent illegal occupation of beach areas. He added that authorities are also enforcing rules governing coastal space management during the 2026 tourist season in line with management contracts and approved categories.

In addition, the National Coastline Agency is conducting inspections across coastal areas nationwide. The agency aims to ensure compliance with beach management standards and improve services for holidaymakers.

At the same time, authorities continue to monitor the implementation of regulations throughout the tourist season. Officials are also working to preserve public spaces along the coastline.

As a result, the protection of public beach areas remains a key priority for institutions responsible for tourism management. Authorities also continue efforts to enforce management rules and safeguard the country’s coastline.
