Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu attended the inauguration of a new zip line in Belsh, describing it as another reason to visit the popular tourist destination in the Dumre region.
The new attraction, stretching 724 meters, adds a new dimension to Belsh’s tourism offer by combining nature, adventure, and local hospitality.
Koçiu said the project is part of the Albanian government’s vision to develop tourism through modern infrastructure and new attractions that create opportunities for local economic growth while promoting destinations across the country.
She noted that, thanks to the Urban Renaissance Program, Belsh has been transformed into an attractive destination for visitors. She added that the city’s development will continue under the second phase of the initiative, Urban Renaissance 2.0.
According to Koçiu, the new investments are expected to bring further development, increase tourism, and create new opportunities for the local community.
Meanwhile, Mayor Arif Tafani said that the tower next to the zip line has been designed as a visitor information center.
The five-story facility will operate as an Info Point, providing visitors with information about Belsh, the Dumre area, agritourism, agriculture, agro-processing, and the region’s main attractions.
Tafani also highlighted the growing number of tourists visiting the area, noting that dozens of tourist buses arrive in Belsh every day, reflecting the destination’s increasing popularity and development.
