TIRANA, June 5 – The second edition of the “Bread & Heart” festival featured the promotion of A Private Glossary, a book by Italian architect Stefano Boeri and Israeli film director Amos Gitai. The festival serves as a meeting point for architecture, culture and urban development.
The book combines architecture, cinema, memory and reflections on the contemporary world. It grew out of a long-running dialogue between Boeri and Gitai. Meanwhile, the authors present the work as a personal glossary that explores identity, cities, family, migration, culture and the challenges of modern society. Through their personal and professional experiences, the book examines the relationship between space, history and people.
Tourism, Culture and Sports Minister Blendi Gonxhja attended the promotion ceremony. Several international architects and cultural partners involved in major projects in Albania also took part. Among them were Xaveer De Geyter, Bjarke Ingels, Toni Gironès, Beat Huesler, Stefano Boeri, Emre Arolat, Johan Anrys and Ralph Appelbaum.
Gonxhja said their presence in Tirana confirms the importance of international cooperation in projects that are transforming Albania’s cultural and tourism landscape.
