British media Wales Online highlights Albania as a rising travel destination

British travel outlet Wales Online has recommended Albania as a European holiday destination, highlighting its beaches, natural landscapes and relative lack of crowds. Journalist Amy Jones reports on travel expert Rory King’s recommendation, based on his experience visiting around 80 countries.

King described Albania as “absolutely beautiful” and highlighted its waterfalls, vineyards and coastline. He noted that travellers can reach the country by flying directly to Tirana or taking a 20-minute boat trip from the Greek island of Corfu.

The article also showcases attractions beyond the coast, including Tirana’s Dajti Ekspres cable car and Bunk’Art museums. King suggested combining a holiday in Albania with a day trip to Corfu, describing both destinations as beautiful and easily accessible from one another.

He said he had encountered relatively few tourists in Albania. However, he expects visitor numbers to rise over the next 2 years. Wales Online presents the country as an appealing choice for travellers seeking an alternative to crowded and expensive destinations.
