TIRANA, April 23 – Business activity in Albania increased significantly in March 2026, reflecting positive economic dynamics in the country. The National Business Centre reported 1,780 new business registrations during the month.
Compared with March 2025, when 1,565 businesses were registered, the figure rose by 13.7 percent. Tirana accounted for 986 new entities, while Vlora, Durrës and Fier also recorded notable activity.
In terms of ownership structure, businesses with 100 percent Albanian capital dominated with 1,562 registrations. The data also showed growth in companies with foreign or mixed capital participation.
The most common legal form remained sole proprietorships with 1,291 registrations, followed by limited liability companies with 482. Key sectors included trade, accommodation and food services, professional services, information and communication, and construction.
