TIRANA, July 9 – Butrint National Park is welcoming a large number of local and foreign visitors during the summer season.

The Albanian cultural and natural heritage site continues to attract tourists who include it in their travel itineraries. Visitors highlight its unique combination of history, archaeology and surrounding landscapes.

I really liked Butrint. It is an extraordinary place that gives you the feeling of travelling through time. The history here is very rich, and it is amazing to see how different civilizations have left their marks. The ruins are well preserved, and the basilica with its mosaic floor was one of the most beautiful parts I saw,” one tourist said.

Meanwhile, other visitors praised the park’s atmosphere and archaeological treasures. They highlighted the ancient theatre, the basilica and the preserved mosaics as some of the most impressive attractions.

Tourists also described Butrint as a rare combination of culture and nature. They said walking through the park feels like discovering history at every step.

The growing number of visitors has also supported local tourism and the area’s economy. Authorities and tourism operators continue to improve facilities and services to maintain Butrint’s position as one of Albania’s most important tourist destinations.
