Construction Company Arlis Construction Responds After Fire in Tirana Residential Building

The construction company Arlis Construction has officially responded following a fire that engulfed a residential building in the “Farmacia 10” area in Tirana a day earlier.

Through a press statement, the company expressed solidarity with the affected residents, emphasizing that it stands by them during this difficult situation and shares concern over the consequences caused by the incident.

In its response, Arlis Construction clarified that the building was constructed in full compliance with the construction permit and the project approved by the relevant authorities. According to the company, there were no additions or deviations from the original project, except for the side veranda systems, which, it stated, were approved by the competent bodies.

The company stressed that all works were carried out in accordance with the highest construction and safety standards, as well as in compliance with the applicable legislation. It also noted that the works were inspected and certified by the responsible institutions, ensuring that all technical and legal requirements were met.

Regarding the façade works, Arlis Construction stated that they were carried out by specialized third-party companies, which bear full legal responsibility for the services provided. The company added that it possesses all documentation and certifications for the materials used, in line with European standards.

However, despite stating that it does not bear legal responsibility for the incident, the company announced that it will undertake, at its own expense, the full reconstruction of the damaged façade and the restoration of the apartments to their previous condition. According to the statement, the aim is for residents to return to normality as soon as possible.

In conclusion, Arlis Construction emphasized that it remains open to cooperation with institutions and experts to fully clarify the circumstances of the fire, while guaranteeing transparency to the public and the affected residents.
