TIRANA, July 30 – British newspaper “Daily Mail” has highlighted Albania as one of the most attractive lower-cost European alternatives for travellers who are reconsidering expensive long-haul holidays.

A study by “Go Compare” found that 39% of Britons planning summer holidays have changed their original plans due to budget pressures. Meanwhile, 33% said higher travel costs had forced them to reconsider destinations and choose countries such as Albania, Italy, Greece and Spain.
“Daily Mail” presents Albania as an alternative to the Maldives, describing the country as an increasingly popular destination thanks to its clear waters, coastline and lower travel costs. The article notes that Albania offers around 300 sunny days a year and remains accessible for travellers seeking Mediterranean experiences at more affordable prices.
The British newspaper also compares flight and accommodation costs, highlighting Albania’s lower prices compared with the Maldives, where travel and stays often require significantly higher budgets.
