Large numbers of citizens and activists took to the streets again this Sunday for the latest protest, which entered its 106th day.
As on previous afternoons, shortly after 19:00, protesters initially gathered in Skanderbeg Square, chanting slogans including: “Your time is up,” “A new Albania,” “Rama resign,” and “Rama in prison, Berisha in prison,” among others.
After gathering in Skanderbeg Square, the protesters marched along Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, stopping outside the Prime Minister’s Office, where they are continuing to chant against the government and deliver speeches.
The protesters’ main demand remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the current government.
As with previous protests, after the speeches, protesters are expected to march through the streets of Tirana.
