Albanian Defense Minister Ermal Nufi attended the Central European Defence Cooperation and Western Balkans Ministerial meeting in Brdo pri Kranju, Slovenia. The meeting focused on defence and security cooperation. It also addressed shared challenges in today’s security environment.
During the meeting, Nufi stressed the importance of closer bilateral and multilateral cooperation. He said Albania would continue its active contribution to joint regional and international initiatives. In addition, he cited the Balkan Medical Task Force as an example of regional cooperation. He also highlighted its role in capacity building and interoperability for Euro-Atlantic integration.
Meanwhile, Nufi said closer coordination among allies and partners remains a priority. He linked this need to the increasingly complex security environment. According to Nufi, closer coordination can strengthen collective defence and help ensure peace.
