Demo Meets Austrian Delegation on EU Integration Cooperation

Ervin Demo welcomed Monika Zach and an Austrian delegation in Tirana on Wednesday.

The delegation included 14 mayors and around 60 senior local government representatives. The group was led by Johannes Pressl.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the role of local government in the European integration process.

In addition, they focused on strengthening municipal capacities and expanding cooperation between Albanian and Austrian local authorities.

Demo praised Austria’s experience in local governance and inter-municipal cooperation. He described it as an important model for Albania on its path toward membership in the European Union.

Furthermore, discussions highlighted the exchange of best practices and the deepening of partnerships between municipalities in both countries.

The meeting also reaffirmed support for closer Albania-Austria cooperation in local governance and European integration.
