TIRANA, August 13 – Mountain tourism is attracting more domestic and foreign visitors to areas that once received little attention.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the Dobërdol Mountains in Tropoja on social media. The area is attracting growing interest from nature enthusiasts each year.
The Dobërdol Mountains lie at an altitude of 2,200 metres above sea level. They occupy the upper part of the Gashi Valley.
Meanwhile, several glacial lakes lie in the upper valley. The largest is Dash Lake, one of the largest glacial lakes in the Albanian Alps.
The Dobërdol area features a typical alpine landscape. It combines wide meadows, mountain pastures, water springs and steep panoramic views.
