TIRANA, August 5 – A new artistic installation has been placed on the Taulantia promenade in Durrës. The artwork has become a new landmark for residents and visitors.
Meanwhile, Durrës Mayor Emiriana Sako said the installation represents more than an artistic work. She described it as a symbol of love for the city, the sea, history and the community that gives it life.
Local sculptors Ibrahim, Amarildo and Ergys Reçi created the installation. The artwork reflects the cultural and tourism identity of Durrës. The coastal city has a millennia-old history, rich cultural values and a strong connection with the sea.
Sako said the installation was designed as an urban meeting space. She added that citizens and tourists can use it as a place to stop, capture special moments and create memories connected to the coastal city.
The Durrës Municipality invited residents and visitors to explore the new space on the Taulantia promenade. The installation aims to promote pride and appreciation for the city’s heritage.
