TIRANA, May 29 – Albania advanced its digital transformation with the presentation of Albanian Digital Solution Sh.A. on Thursday. The initiative supports e-government development and expands digital public services.
Meanwhile, Agjencia Kombëtare e Shoqërisë së Informacionit Director Igli Tafa said technical teams drive the country’s digital ecosystem. Tafa said specialists maintain and develop all online public services through continuous work.
In addition, Tafa said people form the foundation of digital transformation. He pointed to engineers, managers and IT experts as the teams that built the system step by step.
Tafa said e-Albania 2.0 improves usability, security and accessibility. The platform enables more independent access to online services for persons with disabilities, he added.
At the same time, the director said the system introduces new tools for businesses. Companies can now manage authorisations for employees directly through the portal. Organisations can also delegate access to digital services internally, Tafa said.
Earlier, he said the platform strengthens authentication and identity verification. It introduces more flexible and secure login methods, according to Tafa.
He also highlighted Diella, the virtual assistant of e-Albania. The AI-based tool marks a step toward integrating artificial intelligence into public administration, Tafa said.
Diella shows Albania actively participates in global AI development, the AKSHI director said. The country builds and applies technological solutions rather than observing technological change from a distance, he added.
Finally, Tafa said digital transformation remains an ongoing process. It aims to improve public services, modernise institutions and bring administration closer to citizens, he concluded.
